Padres back into the ’swing’ of things
Padres are back in the swing of things with wins against the Dodgers yesterday and today.
Edgar Gonzalez (yep, A-GON’s brother) hits his first major league homer last night. It’s always great when a guy on your favorite team who also graduated from your high school gets their first big league homerun! Good Job E-GON!
Also showing off their stuff was pitcher Randy Wolf who pitched 7 strong innings last night which undoubtedly contributed to the Padres 4-1 win.
Jake Peavy made his first start since May 14th today…and boy did he make a comeback! He pitched 6 shutout innings and allowed only 3 hits. It’s good to know he hasnt lost his touch!!!
And Peavy wasnt the only one who did well today…all the Pads did pretty well! They had a 5 run first inning which included a 3 run homer by Brian Giles and a solo shot right after that by A-GON. And the runs didnt stop there…Padres went on to win it 9-0! Take that Dodgers!
Oh how I love shutout games by the PADS<3
